When we were happy peasants
mastered by the medieval lords,

When we were soldiers in the concentration camps,
in the armies of the Fascism,

When we were on the voyage to the land
of cocoa, coffee beans and khat,
of ceriums and diamonds,

And we shot,
And we shout,
And we attack,
And we defend,
and
When we struggle,
in the midst of the jungle of Madagascar,

You had taken your way to the Abbey,
You had taken your way to the USA,
in the middle of the Pacific,
you walk and you see
